About Us
Gordhandas & Fozdar is a prestigious law firm established in 1925 in the heart of Mumbai by Shri Gordhandas Dahyabhai Engineer (Solicitor) and Shri Yashwantlal Motilal Fozdar. From its inception, the firm has been dedicated to providing expert legal counsel with integrity, professionalism, and a deep understanding of Indian law.
The firm was later continued by Shri Jagadish G. Engineer (Solicitor), who became widely respected for his meticulous drafting and precision in legal documentation, establishing the foundation for the firm’s reputation for reliability and excellence.
In 1995, Mr. Hemang J. Engineer, the third generation of the family, joined the firm as a partner. Under his leadership, the firm reached new heights, expanding its practice, enhancing client service, and strengthening its position as a leading legal institution. Today, he serves as the Managing Partner, continuing to guide the firm with vision and dedication.
Continuing the family legacy, Ms. Manashree H. Engineer, the fourth generation, joined the firm in 2020, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative approaches while upholding the values and professionalism that have defined the firm for nearly a century.
